Black belt camp is one of the premier events of the year. Masters, instructors, blackbelts, and cho dan bo's from across the Region gather at Northeast Mississippi Community in Boonville, MS for a weekend of intensive training.
Training begins Friday with judging training and a mock tournament. Mornings start early with ki gong. Other training includes basics, hyungs (forms), one-step self defense, weapons, judging, and specialized topics. The evenings are packed with lectures and presentations. The nights are finished with an opportunity to socialize with our Tang Soo Do family.
This grand bi-annual event attracts students from around the globe who will arrive to demonstrate their skills and love of our traditional martial art. Friendships will be renewed and new friends will be discovered. No matter the country of origin, language or ethnicity, it is the love of Tang Soo Do that connects all of us in a spirit of competition and friendship.
In addition to the competition, you are invited to attend the pre-Championship Tang Soo Do and Ki Gong training clinics sponsored by the WTSDA Technical Advisory Committee and the World Ki Gong Club. The instruction will be presented by Masters and Black Belts. Information about these clinics will arrive separately from this invitation. Be sure to apply as soon as you can in order to reserve your attendance at one or more clinics.
